• Adequate anatomy — sufficient bone dimensions in all three planes.

In the posterior region, immediate loading is applied less frequently due to higher occlusal forces. It is still feasible when primary stability is excellent and no parafunctional habits (teeth grinding) are present. The temporary crown is intentionally reduced in height to minimise loading.

One of the most common applications of immediate loading is rehabilitation of the edentulous jaw using the All-on-4 protocol. A fixed temporary prosthesis is attached to four strategically placed implants within 24 hours of surgery. The patient regains full chewing function and aesthetics on the same day.
