A dental crown is a fixed restoration that completely covers the visible part of a tooth, restoring its shape, colour and chewing function. Depending on the clinical situation, we use zirconia, all-ceramic or metal-ceramic crowns. A crown protects a weakened tooth from further damage while looking just like a natural tooth.

Ideal candidates for this treatment
Crowns are recommended for patients whose tooth is too damaged to be rebuilt with a filling, as well as after root canal treatment, for cracked teeth and significant tooth wear. A crown is also the standard restoration placed on an implant. We choose the type of crown together with the patient after an examination and bite analysis.
